Conservation 101
18 years and up / Wednesday, May 18
6:30-8:30 pm
Come learn the basics of conservation and the goals of restoration. Our experienced Bolingbrook Park District staff will give a hands-on presentation of natural area land management. Get an understanding of why burning is used in restoration, why certain trees and shrubs are cut down, and what plants are invading our native landscape. Dress for the weather as a portion of this class may take place outdoors.

Explorers Club
Age: 8-12 years
After school nature exploration where the kids guide the class! Hike through Illinois’ native ecosystems exploring what each has to offer; plants, animals, soil and much more! Hunt for nature treasures and discover what kids really want to know and do in nature.
