Are you ready for summer? We are!

To prepare for a summer of fun, Bolingbrook residents can now purchase fishing permits, park permits, register for day camp and Pelican Passes.

Pelican Passes are available at a discounted rate of $55 per person for residents, through April 30, offering a $25 savings.  That means, for a family of four, you can save up to $100.  These passes get your unlimited visits to Pelican Harbor Indoor/Outdoor Aquatic Park from May 26-September 3. The rate increases to $80 per person for residents on May 1.

Bolingbrook Park District offers a number of different camps for all ages, interests and time commitments.  Camp Alotta Fun for campers age 6-14 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm and begins the week of June 4-8 and runs through the week of August 6-10.  Sunrise and Sunset extended camps are offered from 7:00-9:00 am and 4:00-6:00 pm before and after camp.

Permits are needed for all adults age 16 and older to fish at Hidden Lakes Historic Trout Farm.  Permits are just $30 for residents and are valid from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019.  One-day permits are just $8 for residents.  Revenue generated from permit fees goes directly to stocking a variety of fish into the lakes.  There are six fishing derbies set for 2018, with the first being a Trout Derby on April 21 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm.

If you’re looking to have a party or gathering of 15 or more, you may obtain a park permit and we’ll take extra care of you by ensuring the reserved area is clean and orderly.  Premier Parks like Wipfler Park feature an all-new playground with ample parking, shelter and bathrooms.  You can find a listing of parks and amenities at bolingbrookparks.org.
