Free! Block Party Packages

The Block Party Package is FREE to Bolingbrook residents planning a block party. Children can enjoy rides on the Community Express Trackless Train and anyone over 42 inches/50 pounds may have fun climbing the portable climbing wall.

Due to the extreme popularity of the Block Party Package, their availability is limited to neighborhood block parties and public service organization events. The Block Party Package is available to Bolingbrook residents May through September on weekends. Each block & homeowners-association is allowed to book the Block Party Package for one block party per year. Each public service organization (Bolingbrook Schools, Village of Bolingbrook & DuPage Township events, 501C3 organizations or Park District Partners) hosting an advertised event open to the public is allowed to book the Block Party Package for one event per year and must provide a certificate of insurance to the Bolingbrook Park District named as additionally insured for one million dollars. Four Block Party Barricades must be rented from the Village of Bolingbrook Public Works Department for Block Party Package usage. 
 

Planning your Block Party is easy!

Step 1 - Complete a Village of Bolingbrook Block Party/Open Air Public Meeting Application and complete the Bolingbrook Park District Block Party Application return it to the Village of Bolingbrook, 375 W. Briarcliff Road or to a Bolingbrook Park District Community Center. Applications are available at Village Hall or a Park District community center.

Step 2 - Please make your first, second and third choice for the trackless train and climbing wall. We will make every attempt to honor your first choice but due to the popularity of the Block Party Package, your second or third choice may be honored. The arrival time for the train and portable climbing wall are not guaranteed to correspond to the start time of your party due to availability. In order to qualify for the Block Party Package, 75% of the residents on your block must sign the Village of Bolingbrook Block Party/Open Air Public Meeting Form and sign the climbing wall waiver at the same time the Village of Bolingbrook Form is signed.

Step 3- Two weeks after you have turned in your Bolingbrook Park District Block Party Form and Village of Bolingbrook Block Party/Open Air Public Meeting Application, please call 630.739.1300 to confirm the Park District has received your forms.

Step 4 - The Park District will tentatively schedule your Block Party Package after approval from the Village of Bolingbrook.

Step 5 - You will be contacted by phone to confirm your train and wall times one week prior to your party. A confirmation of the Park District Block Party Application will be mailed to you at that time. 

Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Requests for the Block Party Package made less than two weeks in advance may not be accommodated. All block parties must be approved by the Village of Bolingbrook. Call 630.739.1300 to learn more about this FREE service. Forms are available beginning April 1 each year at ACC, BRAC, DDC and Bolingbrook Village Hall.
