Lily Cache Special Recreation Association is a cooperative extension of the Bolingbrook Park District and Plainfield Park District that provides year-round recreation programs for individuals with disabilities.

Registration forms are available for download here.

Lily Cache Special Recreation Association (LCSRA) was formally launched January 1, 2013. The new name best represents the partnership between Bolingbrook and Plainfield Park Districts in their mission to serve the special needs population. Our goal is unchanged; to continue providing personalized and compassionate care while giving participants opportunities to grow and build self-esteem. The same excellent staff will be in place to deliver these programs. Beyond the excitement of a new look and name, Lily Cache Special Recreation Association is here to serve. We’re eager to reach a wider audience and know that there are many more individuals that can benefit from our programs. Please be sure to sign-up for our seasonal brochure, which will be mailed directly to your household. Simply email Jill Mukushina at jmukushina@bolingbrookparks.org to be added to the list.

INCLUSION

LCSRA provides inclusion services for individuals who wish to participate in general recreation programs. An individual with a disability can have a beneficial and rewarding experience by participating with their peers without a disability. LCSRA can provide support to an inclusive experience by training staff, adapting activities, working with behavioral modifications and providing support staff.

Each individual needs to be aware of a few simple guidelines prior to an inclusive experience. When registering, make sure to indicate on the registration form that you need accommodations. Be aware of and able to follow the rules of conduct for the program, with or without accommodations. Be willing to participate in the scheduled activities. LCSRA works cooperatively with you and the Park District to provide reasonable accommodations. Call Jill Mukushina, Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor, at (630) 739-1124 to discuss accommodations for participation.
