About the Bolingbrook Park District

We make the FUN happen!

The Bolingbrook Park District is a public park and recreation agency located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, a large community of 76,272 in Chicago’s southwest suburbs, just 25 miles from the city.

We enrich the community through our programs and events. We work with other agencies through intergovernmental agreements to help our residents realize the most benefits possible. We provide opportunities that reconnect people with their community, themselves and their family. At Bolingbrook Park District, “we make the fun happen!”

The Bolingbrook Park District professional team brings various skill sets, talents and experience to the community of Bolingbrook.

    The heart of the Bolingbrook Park District begins with our Board of Commissioners. Residents of Bolingbrook elect a non-partisan, five-member Board of Commissioners to govern the District. These individuals volunteer their time to serve on the board. The Park Board determines the priorities and defines policies for financing, governing, operation and administration of the District.

  • Rotary Park

    Bolingbrook Park District is committed to preserving the financial strength of the district for the residents of Bolingbrook. We have been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) the past 21 consecutive years.

    The residents of Bolingbrook drive the plans and goals of Bolingbrook Park District. Feedback is gathered from the community through our ongoing Community-wide Survey, which is distributed randomly to Bolingbrook households. This survey is completed every three to four years and is designed to capture resident impressions and perspectives of District services.

    The Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex Renovation Project was completed in 2021. This year will see four more playgrounds being replaced, bring the total up to 13 new playgrounds as a result of the 2018 referendum ask. Additionally, there will be many upgrades to Century Park as part of a successful grant application.
