  • Parkies Babies Swim Lessons (ages 6 months-3 years with an adult)

This program begins with you and your child gaining comfort in the water, your child learning to hold their breath under water, swimming to the wall for safety, and progressing to swimming on their own. The last level serves as a transition for the swimmer to move from swimming with a caregiver present to a class setting with only the instructor in order to prepare for Parkie’s Swim School. Each non-potty-trained swimmer must have a swim diaper and a lined swim suit per Illinois State Health Code. Every swim participant must be accompanied by one caregiver at least 18 years old.

Parkies Semi- Private Swim School (ages 3-14 years)

These lessons place an emphasis on safety and basic water skills for the beginning swimmer. Through the five color levels of Swim School, swimmers gain confidence in the water, learn to swim and float with and without assistance and end with the building blocks for freestyle. Students will also have a solid grasp of important safety rules and topics upon completion of these levels. Each class consists of one certified swim instructor and two swimmers of similar swimming ability.

Swimmers progress through five levels based on skill level learning and perfecting skills of freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke. Safety skills are also emphasized. All swimmers must wear a lined swim suit. Each class consists of one certified swim instructor and two swimmers of similar swimming ability.
