Support the Lily Cache Special Recreation Association (LCSRA) Sensory Room Campaign on Giving Tuesday

As you start shopping for holiday gifts this season, Lily Cache Special Recreation Association (LCSRA) encourages you not to forget the spirit of Giving Tuesday on December 3.  It is the perfect opportunity to support the LCSRA Sensory Room Campaign, which was created to raise money to equip a sensory room at the Annerino Community Center in Bolingbrook.

Your donation would help countless individuals with varying sensory disorders such as autism, anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). A Sensory Room is specially designed room which combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These can include lights, colors, sounds, and sensory soft play objects, aromas all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk.

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 to encourage people to do good by unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

“All donations are important and we hope people participate on Giving Tuesday,” said Jill Mukushina LCSRA superintendent of special recreation. “We want people to know that their donation will go directly into helping a large number of people.”
