Sugar Maple: Broadly oval in habit, up to 50
tall; nice green summer color with outstanding fall colors
of yellow, orange and scarlet.
Autumn Blaze Maple: Upright habit with a fast growth
rate, has green summer color changing to scarlet red.
Honeylocust: Delicate foliage provides filtered
shade; bright green leaves give way to a nice yellow fall
color.
Littleleaf Linden: Perfect upright, pyramidal form
with a very straight trunk; excellent street tree, 40
to 50 tall with a golden yellow fall color.
Sweetgum: Broad habit with a medium growth rate;
attractive star-shaped leaves turning a rich yellow to
reddish-purple in fall.
Kentucky Coffeetree: Bold winter habit with highly
distinctive bark; the tree can reach 75 in height
and is adaptable to many soils.
Tuliptree: Large, fast growing, stately tree; tulip
shaped, bright green leaves change to yellow in fall,
tulip-like flowers on mature trees.
Ginkgo: Very slow growing with an upright, pyramidal
shape; unusual fan-shaped leaves turn a nice buttery yellow
in fall.
Bur Oak: A tree native to the Midwest. Large, round,
open habit; very adaptable tree with interesting corky
bark, fiddle-shaped leaves, and a medium growth rate.
Red Oak: Large, upright, rounded habit with a stately
appearance; medium growth rate and dark red fall color.
Swamp White Oak: A tall tree with a rounded, symmetrical
habit; prefers moist soil and full sun. Attractive leaves
that turn yellow to brown.
Chinkapin Oak: A very nice oak with unusual serrated
leaves; upright and spreading with age, it has a medium-fast
growth rate. Fall color
ranges from yellow to orangish-brown.
Winter King Hawthorn: Wide-spreading 20 to
25 tall tree with white spring flowers and nice
silvery bark; fall color is yellow with tiny red fruit.
Ironwood: A 20 to 30 tall tree for
sun or shade; the leaves turn yellow in fall and often
persist into winter.
Amelanchier (Serviceberry): Reaching a height of
20, this tree has an upright habit with beautiful
white blossoms in spring and outstanding
red-orange fall color.
Pekin Lilac: Graceful, upright growth habit reaching
15 to 20; fragrant white flower in June and
exfoliating bark adds interest.
Red Bud: Multi-stemmed or low branched small tree
growing 20 to 25 tall; has rosy purple flower
buds in spring before the heart-shaped
foliage appears.
Ornamental Crabapple: Five varieties are offered.
Floribunda: 18 x 25; green foliage
and rosy pink buds turning pale pink.
Snowdrift: 20 x 20; green foliage with
pink buds and snow white flowers.
Adams: 25 x 20; green with red tinged
foliage and single, clear pink flowers.
Prairiefire: 20 x 20; dark, reddish-green
foliage with red buds and rose flowers.
Sugartyme: 18 x 15; medium green foliage
with white flowers and dark red fruit.
