Free! SUMMER'S LAST BLAST FAMILY CHALLENGE - 32380A

Family is all about teamwork! Is your family up to the challenge? Bolingbrook Park District is hosting its annual Family Challenge. Your family could win a dinner at Summer’s Last Blast with access to the VIP tent to watch the Summer’s Last Blast fireworks along with $200 Bolingbrook Park District dollars to use towards pool passes, fitness memberships or recreation programs. Families will compete in the three games listed below. Registration will be taken at Annerino Community Center and Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex until 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 23rd. Registration will take place at the field from 3:45-4:15 pm.

What defines a family?
A family consists of a minimum of three (3) members to
five (5). Families over five (5) participants are asked to create two teams.

How are the points tallied?
Gold – 4 points; Silver – 3 points; Bronze – 2 points;
each team that participates but doesn’t place – 1 point.

Opening Ceremonies Relay
You and your family will color the Olympic rings, march in carrying a few country’s flag, shoot the arrow into the cauldron to light the Olympic flame and then complete a Patriotic puzzle and a USA Olympic trivia game.

Human Ring Toss
Playing ring toss is very simple. One player (family/team
member) stands at the throwing area, and tosses the Hula Hoop attempting to encircle their family/team members. Ringing the central dowel (person) is worth three points,
and any of the others are worth one. The player earns the amount of points designated by the position of the dowel. If you get more than one, add up their score. Win the
game by getting the most points.

Family Obstacle Course
Families will compete in three separate activities geared towards the Summer Olympics. Fastest time wins the gold medal.
